Inspired by images from Siam and Siamese art, the lighting for this production of The King and I uses strong amber side light and cool back light as the key. Deep Red amber on the CYC helps create a royal feel, while lavendar on the CYC accents the love scenes. The ballet utilizes red on the CYC for Buddha and accent colors for the ice and fighting.
